We are expanding, getting busier and we need more help. We are a very busy Family Medicine office and a Med Spa. We have started a vein clinic. On the family practice side, we see mostly adults and we do a lot of well woman care.

On the Med Spa side we do all sorts of cosmetic procedures including Botox, Fillers, Liposuction, Laser Hair Removal, Spider Veins, Acne, Tattoo removal Cellulite, Laser Facelifts and more.

The job requires that you get here every day no later than 7:45 am. We schedule patients up to 5 pm and try very hard to finish before 6 pm. You must have your own car to get to work. We usually don't see patients on Friday afternoons or weekends, so most of the time you won't have to work on Friday afternoons, but that does not mean never! Be prepared to work Friday afternoons in case we get very busy. There will be times when we will need an assistant that can stay past 5 pm, maybe even later, and rarely on a Saturdays. You must have good phone etiquette. You must be computer literate.

You will need to be able to make appointments, arrange referrals, arrange testing, order supplies, keep track of inventory, collect money, file charts, scan documents, help with billing and insurance verification, get pre authorizations, return calls, record patient instructions in the chart and much more. You will need to be able to do pre authorizations, help with CPT and ICD10 coding, shipping/packing, calling in prescriptions, finding lab and xray results, medical records releases, etc. We need you to be flexible. There is no such thing as "that is not my job"....ever! You may be filling in for anybody that is out sick, on vacation or needs help catching up. Some days you may be working as an administrative assistant to the doctor. Your job will be to know how to do as many jobs as possible in our office. If you have done CPT/ICD10 coding and billing your application will go to the top of the list.

This could be an entry level position for the right person, but more likely this will be an even better position for somebody with the right experience. You will learn a lot!! Your wages will be determined based on how much of this job you can handle. Benefits such as health insurance, paid sick time, paid vacation time and more are available and negotiable. Raises and bonuses are based on merit and skills that are learned after you start, not on how long you have worked here. If you learn more you become more valuable and you get paid more. Learn more, earn more. It's that simple. This job will be so important to the office that you must be willing to give 8 weeks notice to quit so that you can train your replacement. The main requirements are that you have to be very flexible with every aspect of this job including hours and duties with lots of last minute changes. If you need to leave everyday by exactly 5 pm on time then this is not the right job for you. We are very picky about who we work with. You need to be very friendly with a high energy type personality. If you think laughing, joking with your fellow employees, high fives and hugging are unprofessional then this is not a good job for you. We want to work with friendly laid back energetic people!! If there is nothing to do (that NEVER happens) then you need to find out how you can help somebody else with whatever they are doing without being told.

Surfing the internet, shopping online and playing solitaire are not useful. Seriously. If you don't like to work with your coworkers and cover for your coworkers as a team, then you won't like this job. We are a team and we work together! You cannot smoke at all, not even on your breaks while you are working.

If you are bilingual with Spanish, that would be great. You must be willing to come to work looking professional, with excellent hygiene. You must be willing and able to follow instructions. You must be computer literate. That means you know how to type, send an email, etc. Most of our employees are with us for many years. This is intended to be a long term position, a dream job that you will never want to leave!

We get a lot of applications, it is hard to remember them without a photo. It is much easier for us to connect a picture to our conversation than just a name. Part of your job interview will be a working interview where you will be asked to spend at least half a day with us working with various current employees. This is your chance to see how are office runs and to get to know the people you will be working with. This working interview is not a paid day at work, it is part of your interview.
